    Reported Man City target Marmoush scores again for Frankfurt in Bundesliga

    Reported Manchester City target Omar Marmoush boosted his transfer value with another goal for Eintracht Frankfurt to beat St. Pauli 1-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The Egypt forward grabbed his 14th league goal in the 32nd minute, taking one touch and another to send the ball inside the far post from a difficult angle. Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche acknowledged before the match that a club “has expressed interest” in the player, though he didn’t want to confirm it was Man City.

    Leverkusen kicks off 2025 with win over illness-hit Dortmund as Bundesliga returns

    Bayer Leverkusen started the year with a big boost to its hopes of defending the Bundesliga title by beating a depleted Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on Friday. Nathan Tella scored after just 25 seconds of the first Bundesliga game of 2025 and Leverkusen scored on all of its first three shots against Dortmund, which was missing six ill players and had to field a makeshift defensive line. Leverkusen moved to one point off league leader Bayern Munich, which has its own injury problems ahead of facing Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday.

    Leipzig signs wing back Ridle Baku from Bundesliga rival Wolfsburg

    Leipzig has signed wing back Ridle Baku from Bundesliga rival Wolfsburg after an injury to Benjamin Henrichs. Leipzig said Friday that the 26-year-old Baku had signed a 2½-year contract to 2027. “Ridle will give us more options in the future,” Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer said.
