Player Notes
Chris Sale wasn't involved in the decision after allowing one run in seven innings and striking out 10 against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Sale was dominant for the most part, with the Red Sox crushing two of his very few mistakes. Fortunately, the first didn't hurt him, as Adam Eaton robbed David Ortiz of a homer in the first. The other did, though, as Xander Bogaerts was able to hit one out to left in the sixth. It was the first homer allowed by Sale in four starts this season.

Chris Sale yielded three runs over five innings Friday against the Indians to improve to 3-0 on the year.

Advice: Sale wasn't at his best, needing 105 pitches to make it through his five innings of work, but he managed to keep his team in the ballgame. The lanky left-hander struck out five and walked a pair in the victory. He'll look for his fourth win next week against the Red Sox.
