Player Notes
Josh Reddick will not be optioned to Triple-A.

Advice: There was some speculation that Reddick could be sent down to make room on the roster for Craig Gentry (back), but he was seen taking early batting practice Friday. Reddick has just three singles in his first 29 at-bats this season and is not in the lineup Friday for the second straight game.

Josh Reddick could be optioned to Triple-A Sacramento to make room for the return of Craig Gentry (back) from the disabled list.

Advice: The A's have yet to officially make any moves, but it's notable that Reddick is absent from the lineup for a second straight day Friday while Sam Fuld is playing again. Reddick is off to a rotten start this season after last year's disappointment, picking up just three singles in his first 29 at-bats.
