Player Notes
J.J. Hardy said that his shoulder was feeling "a lot better" than on Monday.

Advice: Hardy underwent an MRA on the left shoulder on Monday, which revealed a muscle strain. He's being shut down from baseball activities for the next ten days. While it's feeling better, Hardy won't be swinging a bat until the swelling is reduced. He should be able to field grounders while he waits. In the meantime, Everth Cabrera should fill in as starter. In deeper AL-only leagues, Cabrera's speed could make him a short-term asset.

J.J. Hardy (shoulder) will be shut down from baseball activities for 10 days.

Advice: Hardy was sent for an MRA on his ailing left shoulder on Monday, which showed a subscapularis (or muscle) strain. The Orioles will see how he responds to rest before deciding on the next step. It sounds like a return in April is possible if he can avoid setbacks, but Everth Cabrera will likely fill in for now. He's worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues if you need speed.

J.J. Hardy reported improvement with his ailing left shoulder on Sunday.

Advice: It's encouraging, but we won't have a clearer picture on Hardy's status until he undergoes an MRA on Monday. At this point the Orioles don't appear to be concerned that it's anything serious, but we'll just have to wait and see what the exam says.

J.J. Hardy is scheduled to undergo an MRA exam on his injured left shoulder on Monday.

Advice: Hardy has been receiving treatment in recent days, but the Orioles want to ensure that there is no structural damage. He's expected to be held out of action until Tuesday.

J.J. Hardy indicated Saturday that his left shoulder was more sore than it was on Friday when he was removed from a Grapefruit League contest after sustaining the injury on a dive up the middle.

Advice: Hardy received treatment for the injury and will be held out of team workouts on Saturday. The injury is still believed to be minor and isn't expected to effect his availability for the start of the regular season.

J.J. Hardy left Friday's game against the Rays with a sore left shoulder.

Advice: Hardy banged his shoulder on the ground on a dive up the middle. He's expected to be fine, though, as he wanted to take his next at-bat before Orioles manager Buck Showalter overruled him. Consider Hardy day-to-day.
