(AP) — Casey DeSmith made 30 saves for his first postseason victory as the Vancouver Canucks held on to beat the Nashville Predators 2-1 Friday night for a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series to open the NHL playoffs.     Arizona Cardinals take Canadian Adams in third round of NFL draft

    DETROIT, Maine — Isaiah Adams is an Arizona Cardinal. Arizona selected the Illinois offensive lineman with the seventh pick of the third round, No. 71 overall, in the NFL draft on Friday night. Adams, of Ajax, Ont., was the first Canadian selected in this year's draft. He was a two-year starter at Illinois, serving as a captain in 2023.
