Watch the Jaguars go for a tremendous upset on the Yahoo Sports app

The AFC and NFC championships kick off this weekend, and you can watch them LIVE and FREE on the Yahoo Sports app. Who’s playing? What’s at stake? We’ve got you covered right here.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS:
What you need to know

Who and when are they playing?
The Jaguars travel to New England to play the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots at 3:05 p.m. ET.

Who’s favored?
Unfortunately for Jaguars fans, New England is the heavy favorite. But stranger things have happened in the NFL playoffs, and if Tom Brady’s hand is truly hurt, well … we could be looking at Jacksonville in the Super Bowl. Really.

What chance does Jacksonville have?
The Jaguars’ defense has to smother the Patriots so much that the offense doesn’t have to do very much. If quarterback Blake Bortles can manage to get a lead, so much the better; Bortles isn’t particularly adept at leading from behind. Plus, a lead allows the Jaguars to put the ball in the hands of rookie running back/wrecking ball Leonard Fournette, and that’s never a bad thing.

What do the numbers say?
The Jaguars have an all-time record of 1-10 against New England, but that lone win came in the playoffs … 20 years ago, but still. The Jaguars led the league with seven defensive touchdowns this season, and ranked second in the league with 55 sacks and 21 interceptions in the regular season.
