Washington Leading Race for Texans No. 2 WR

Coach Bill O'Brien said "right now" Nate Washington is the No. 2 receiver opposite DeAndre Hopkins. Rookie Jaelen Strong and Cecil Shorts are Washington's competition. While Hopkins will remain on the field at all times and gobble up targets, O'Brien figures to mix and match his Nos. 2 and 3 receivers with Washington operating as a deep threat and Shorts seeing action in the slot. Strong has the most long-range upside, but will have to outplay the veterans to earn a year-one role.
