Truck Collides With Barriers Near White House

United States Secret Service officers detained the driver of a box truck that collided with security barriers near the White House on Monday night, May 22, a service spokesperson said.

“There were no injuries to any Secret Service or White House personnel and the cause and manner of the crash remain under investigation,” the spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi, said. “Road closures are in effect and pedestrian walkways are closed as we investigate.”
