Would-Be Thief Foiled by Locked Door at Perth Liquor Store

A man was caught on camera giving up an attempt to take a slab of drinks when a locked door foiled his plan at a liquor store in a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, on June 6.

Footage from the Bottle-O Beechboro shows the man walk toward the cashier, before making a sudden dash for the exit. When he’s unable to open the door, he returns the drinks to the counter and leaves.

The store posted security footage asking if anyone could identify the man in the video.

Staff member Kellie Gordon, who can be seen in the video, told 10 News First Perth the man “didn’t seem aggressive” so she “wasn’t concerned”.
