Yahoo Sports' Scott Pianowski explains why fantasy managers should consider starting the Houston running back against the Bears. Will Texans' Dameon Pierce run wild vs. Chicago in week 3?
[INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING]
SCOTT PIANOWSKI: We're only two weeks into the Dameon Pierce experience, but a lot of highs, a lot of lows. He was one of the big winners of the fantasy summer, drafted aggressively. Then, in Week 1, what were the Texans doing? Rex Burkhead was their primary back, and Pearce was in a secondary role, but they flipped it in Denver. Pearce played a lot, Burkhead didn't play much. Burkhead is in his 30s. So I think it's all systems go for Pearce. The Texans' offensive line isn't bad. Davis Mills isn't bad. Chicago can be had in run defense. I mean, we saw the Packers do whatever they wanted on the ground in Week 2. I think Dameon Pierce is ready for 85-plus yards this week and a touchdown. I'll pro-actively play him as a running back two in Week 3.
