Suspect in 2 Sacramento State sexual assaults appears in court, pleads not guilty

The man accused of two sexual assaults at Sacramento State in 2022 appeared in court on Thursday and plead not guilty. Nida Muhammad Nyazi, 31, was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on Tuesday after his arrest in Germany in February, the FBI said. He was not granted bail. Nyazi is accused in two cases of sexual assault with two separate victims who were students at Sacramento State University. Investigators said the sexual assaults both happened in the fall of 2022.
