Strong thunderstorms were forecast to sweep over Kansas on May 4, with gusty winds and hail possible in parts of the state, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS said up to two-inch-diameter hail was possible, with wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

Reports of “baseball-sized hail” were also posted on Twitter by a local meteorologist.
