Streets Flood in Amarillo as Severe Thunderstorms Hit Texas

Severe thunderstorms caused flash flooding in Amarillo, Texas, on Thursday, May 18.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Amarillo and surrounding areas on Thursday night and urged residents to seek higher ground immediately.

Several motorists were stranded as floodwaters obstructed streets, local news reported.
