California lawmakers spent this week sifting through hundreds of bills as they faced a deadline Friday to pass bills in the house in which they were introduced. This marks the typical halfway point in the legislative process. Assembly bills approved by the Assembly now head to the Senate, and Senate bills now head to the Assembly.
