Principals awarded Heart of Schools Award for their dedication

A school's principal can make a big difference when it comes to student and teacher success. Five principals are being honored with the Heart of the Schools Award from the Fund for Educational Excellence. It's an award that highlights principals who have built excellent school cultures. Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School Principal Brandon Pinkney is rarely seen sitting in his office. He's usually outside greeting students, walking the halls and even in the classroom teaching his own class.
