- Welcome back.

- Thank you.

- [INAUDIBLE]. How did you feel getting back [INAUDIBLE] basketball?

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: It was good. It was good to be out there just, you know, being able to play again. I've been out, little bit of shoulder tendinitis and isolation. So I've been out for quite some time. But it was good to be out there again, you know, just getting my lungs back just playing and getting back into game shape.

- The isolation part of your absence-- how frustrating was that [INAUDIBLE] nothing you had done wrong [INAUDIBLE] something [INAUDIBLE] wrong around you, and you had to pay the consequences.

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: Yeah, of course. It was-- [LAUGHS] it was annoying. I mean, just knowing that-- just being fully vaccinated, thinking about taking the booster shot as well, and then being around someone that tested positive and also tested negative for multiple days, you know, in a row, testing negative multiple times a day, and also still being in isolation-- that was kind of really frustrating, you know? And I just didn't know how to go about that or didn't really-- I just felt like I didn't-- I had no, you know, control over anything.

And it was just-- it was weird and frustrating at the same time. But you know, like I said, we've just got to do what we've got to do to make sure everybody stays safe, especially right now with the way the virus is going across the league and the nation. And it's just, we've just got to do our best to make sure everybody's safe and, you know, stays healthy.

- What'd you do? Netflix [INAUDIBLE]?

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: Oh, man. Whew. I cooked. I did that. [INAUDIBLE] cooking so long. Finally, I cooked for a little bit. I was home. Binge-watched a lot of shows. I watched a lot of movies. Man, I had to get real creative in my house. But it was interesting, you know, just sitting at home. You finally get a lot of time to yourself. You start, like, you know, figuring out things and thinking about-- 'cause we're always on the go, on the move. So it was-- you know, I say, like, it wasn't so bad just being at home, just 'cause I was able to do a lot of things that I haven't been able to do for a while. So it was not too bad, I'd say.

- What's your specialty [INAUDIBLE]?

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: Oh, I'm very diverse.

[LAUGHTER]

I'm a chef. I do a lot of-- not just the milk and the Oreos thing. Trust. I'm not just a snack specialist. I'm all around the place, and I could do a lot of things. But yeah, it was good. And I just-- like I said, to be able to do a lot of things that, you know, I haven't done in a while.

- You obviously got used to playing in front of [INAUDIBLE] environments last year-- fans, you know, [INAUDIBLE] partial crowds. What did-- did tonight feel strange to you, or is, like, this just familiar now?

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: No, tonight was really, really strange. Oh my God, especially just being in this building. I mean, I never-- I didn't play here last year, obviously. But since, you know, playing here, being part of the team, and tonight, just not being able to-- 'cause I don't know what the Toronto-- I didn't know what the Toronto crowd atmosphere was when I first got in the league. I got in the year of COVID.

But tonight being a night where it was half capacity-- it was so weird to me because every time I've, you know, stepped in this bui-- every time we played here, it's always been electrifying. It was packed. You know, you could almost feel the people on the court while you're playing. Tonight was just the opposite of that.

And it just felt kind of weird, a little bit. Kind of had to, like, tell yourself, OK, we have to generate-- you know, we were telling ourself, we have to generate our own energy. A lot of times, we feed off the energy of the fans and all that kind of stuff. But today, we had to generate our own energy a lot of the time. Freddy, turn the light on.

- Oh, my bad.

[CHUCKLING]

- Was that your first interaction or experience with anything related to COVID? Like, did you-- so you didn't have anything last year, or--

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: No. Yeah, that was my first time in isolation. I was never in isolation. So that was my first time, yeah.

- Thanks, Precious.

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: Yeah, I don't want to be out there like Freddy.

- [LAUGHS]

PRECIOUS ACHIUWA: I heard he's out there a lot.
