Police: Detainee held woman at knifepoint in attempt to escape

A jail detainee charged in an assault did not get far, but police said he put a kitchen knife to the throat of a worker in his attempt to escape. While the victims were not hurt, both told the 11 News I-Team that it was extremely scary and they are now more concerned about their safety. Richard Daniel Price, 35, of Brooklyn, remains held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis after a frightening assault and attempted escape. Two women who encountered Price told the I-Team that the incident terrified and traumatized them.
