Person in custody after weekend break-in closes Northwest Academy in Pikesville

Baltimore County police have a person in custody after a weekend break-in at the Northwest Academy of Health Sciences in Pikesville. Police said 27-year-old Matthew Parry allegedly broke into the school and is now charged with trespassing, destruction of property and second-degree burglary. Baltimore County Public Schools released the following statement: "Due to an ongoing police investigation, Northwest Academy of Health Sciences will be closed today, May 22, 2023. There will be no afterschool or evening activities at Northwest Academy of Health Sciences."
