Off Their Game Week 12 - Courtland Sutton

Andy Behrens explains why the Denver WR will struggle vs. the Chargers in week 12.

Video Transcript

ANDY BEHRENS: I'm going to-- I'm going to cheat a little bit this week and talk about a guy who's just under that 50% started threshold, only because I want to throw add a few numbers on Courtland Sutton. It now appears as if it's possible that Teddy Bridgewater cannot, in fact, support three or four viable fantasy pass catchers because it is just not happening with Sutton lately, after Jerry Jeudy returned to the Broncos.

So last three games for Sutton-- how about nine targets and five catches. During that same time frame, Jeudy himself-- 16 catches, 21 targets. It is just not happening downfield or, hey, at intermediate or short field for Courtland Sutton right now.

And then the match-up this week is the Chargers. And one thing that we've talked about, I feel like, all season is how the Chargers just funnel you to the run. And they take away the outside receivers, right? The Chargers, so far, on the season, allowing the second fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Only five touchdowns to opposing wideouts. So very difficult spot for Sutton this week. Would hate to have to roll with him here.

You know who wasn't off their game last week, not even a little bit, was Austin Ekeler. He was amazing. Let's see now what he talked about with Liz Loza and Ekeler's Edge.
