- Nick Saban will be on the sidelines after all, as number two Alabama hosts number three Georgia. Saban had his third straight negative coronavirus test on Saturday. And per FCC protocol, that paves the way for him to be on the sideline in college football's biggest game of the year so far. Sabin's third straight negative coronavirus tests also caps a tumultuous week in the SEC. LSU's game at Florida and Vanderbilt's game at Missouri were both postponed on Saturday because Florida and Vanderbilt did not have enough players to play because of coronavirus.

And while Sabin's test on Wednesday was likely a false positive, it's also proof that Alabama's daily testing system is working, as is the SEC's protocols. The worst thing that could have happened in this case is that saving could have infected more people on his coaching staff and on his team and caused Alabama's game against Georgia to be postponed and the SEC to do more schedule shuffling.
