The Netflix documentary ‘Hope Frozen: A Quest to Live Twice’ is here, ‘Antebellum’ heads straight to VOD and more of this week’s best in pop culture

In the documentary, “Hope Frozen: A Quest to Live Twice,” a Thai family decides to freeze their 2-year-old daughter, who died of brain cancer. The process is called Cryonics — and this toddler is the youngest person to be cryonically preserved. The hope is to resurrect the child and restore her to full health in the future. “Hope Frozen: A Quest to Live Twice” premieres Tuesday, Sept. 15 on Netflix. The Janelle Monáe thriller “Antebellum” skips U.S. theaters and heads straight to premium video on demand. In the movie, Monáe plays Veronica Henley an author who finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality that forces her to confront the past, present and future – before it’s too late. “Antebellum” premieres Friday, Sept. 18 via FandangoNOW, Xfinity and Redbox.
