It's the conference championship round in the NFL playoffs, and it's time to open up the Fantasy Football Survival Kit. The entire 2020 calendar year was nothing but chaos. And, of course, that bled into football and therefore our fake little football leagues. So we asked you all, the people, my people, what was the most chaotic thing that happened to your fantasy football team, your fantasy football leagues, your fantasy football life in general in 2020? Let's dive right into some absolutely weird submissions.

This first one comes in from Rob. One player in their league had Alvin Kamara in the championship game and still lost by 60 points. Just to recap for you people who have the memory of a goldfish, Alvin Kamara scored six touchdowns in week 16 to basically what should have been win you your league all by yourself. If you're in the championship game and you had Alvin Kamara, you were supposed to moonwalk to the fantasy trophy.

If I was this person, I would quit. I would never play fantasy again. Because when you have a six-touchdown performance, you expect to win. It's not being a sore loser. It's just living and dying by your own emotions, and sometimes that's OK. And next.

This next one comes in from @Spoodler69. Nice. A dude forfeited in week five because he couldn't handle the COVID postponements, the games, cancellations, all that. You know the deal. Then his team went on to win the league under a new manager. I mean, what a twist, right?

Don't be weak, OK? Don't quit because it's hard. You got to stick with it. Look, this is a good lesson to all of you going forward. Just because something's difficult, just because this was a more difficult fantasy situation than any other year, doesn't mean you just quit. You keep pushing.

Like I said in the previous note, if you get absolutely destroyed in just a cruel twist of fate, fine, you can quit and give up forever. But just because something's hard doesn't mean you need to quit, all right? You stick through it. And, look, this person who took over his team, they went on and won the damn league. That's what you want. That's the type of person you want to be. Next.

This next one comes in from Simon Gardner. A thunderstorm in the Midwest on draft night put several folks on autodraft for rounds two to five. OK, I've never heard of this before. That's pretty wild. I would actually love to see what the rest of that league ended up looking like. Did any of the people who had to go on autodraft, did they end up actually crushing it? It would be a great way to show that just what happens on draft night doesn't determine your future in fantasy football.

You can draft an absolutely terrible team and still win your league. You can draft an awesome team, you can get that big fat A from Yahoo draft analyzer or whatever, the draft report card that you all care so much about, and your team can still suck, OK? So it's all about how you manage things, how you come back from the draft, and what you do in season that determines your future. Nevertheless, that's pretty wild. Next.

This next one comes in from @MikeyB and a bunch of numbers that I'm not gonna read out. Lots of trades started getting vetoed for no reason in this fellow's league. Led to one guy threatening to show up at another's house, and he was promptly kicked out of the league. I think that's a pretty good reason to kick somebody out of the league, OK?

Come on. Come back to us, folks. This is fantasy football. It's fake. It's not real. I don't care how much money you have on the line. You don't need to be doing [BLEEP] like this where you're about to show up to somebody's house.

Oh, look at you, tough guy. Oh, you're vetoing my trades for no reason, so I'm gonna come knock on your door and threaten you. What an idiot. Next, next, next.

This next one comes in from Alex. Cash league commish stacked the league with all people he knew. You knew things were getting shady right there. I knew two of the 12 people in the league. He was allowing BS trades like AB for Allen Robinson to benefit him with friends but would complain any time I traded with the other guy I knew.

Anyways, long story short, me and my buddy made the finals and split $1,100. That's justice, people. People all the time crying about, oh, this person's like-- they're making it so unfair. All these trades, it's so unfair.

Yeah, well, you know what? Life is unfair, OK? Sometimes, people do sketchy [BLEEP] behind your back. You know what you should do? Get even. Do better than them, and absolutely embarrass them by taking all of their sick little trades they made and just making it irrelevant because you still kick their [BLEEP] in the league and you end up splitting that money.

I hope you and your friend that got that money, I hope every single day you send the goofball who was trying to pull the sketchy stuff just videos of you making it rain or something like that. Calm down. Next.

This last one comes in from @TommyBayBuc, and it's simple. It's right to the point, COVID. COVID caused a lot of chaos for fantasy leagues in 2020. And let's be real, there were a lot bigger problems out there than just what happened in fantasy football.

Chaos, though, let's be clear, it will always be a part of your fantasy football experience. Even when there's no coronavirus and there's no pandemic going on that's gonna affect your fantasy league, there were plenty of normal non-COVID situations that we talked about in this Survival Kit episode. You have to learn how to persevere. We have to learn how to fight through the chaos and fight through the BS out there and just win, baby.
