Mark Ruffalo calls claims of black terrorism and anarchy in Kenosha ‘utter bull****’

Mark Ruffalo appeared on ‘The Daily Show With Trevor Noah’ Tuesday night, where he discussed the recent protests in his hometown of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Protests erupted after the shooting of Jacob Blake in August. Ruffalo believes the subsequent protests have been misrepresented by the media and President Trump. “The news I was seeing coming out of there didn't feel honest to me,” said Ruffalo. “It felt salacious.” Later in the interview he said, “The story coming out of the Kenosha news at the time, coming out of the media, that was coming out of the Trump campaign, that Kenosha was some kind of hell hole where black terrorists were terrorizing the community -- which is total and utter bull****.”

MARK RUFFALO: The news I was seeing coming out of there didn't feel honest to me. It felt salacious. It felt, you know-- of course, they're going to go for the worse things.

KYLIE MAR: "Avengers" star and Kenosha, Wisconsin native Mark Ruffalo appeared on "The Daily Show" Tuesday, where he discussed the protests following the shooting of Jacob Blake and how they are being misrepresented by President Trump and certain media outlets.

MARK RUFFALO: This kind of story that was coming out of the Kenosha news at the time, that was coming out of the media, that was coming out of the Trump campaign, that Kenosha Wisconsin was some kind of hell hole, where black terrorists were terrorizing the community, which is total and utter bull [BLEEP] as we all know.

KYLIE MAR: Ruffalo made it clear he supports the protests and calls for social justice in his hometown, and that he is fed up with people reportedly coming in and trying to create division and strife.

MARK RUFFALO: These protests have been, you know, predominantly peaceful. We don't hear about that, you know? We only see the guys like in Kenosha, Wisconsin they were provocateurs and they were, you know, trashing a town that they're not even from. That was what broke my heart, because that's not what I know about Kenosha, Wisconsin.
