Mad Bets: Will the Ravens cover -7 vs. Patriots?

MINTY BETS: This Sunday night, we've got the Baltimore Ravens heading to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots. Now, the Ravens are favored by 7 points on the road, and the total's set at 43 and 1/2. Let's get our best bets for Sunday Night Football. Jared, let's start with you, because I know this is your best bet for the week.

JARED QUAY: You already know what I'm on. Don't ask me this question. The Ravens is gonna blow them out. I'm telling you this. The Patriots are who we think they are. They're the team that's desperately missing Tom Brady. They're the team that everybody on their defense is opted out or hurt. They're a team that can't stop the run.

And what do the Ravens do better than everybody? Run the football. Don't overthink this thing. Just put your money on the Ravens. You know what, I'm advising you to bet a little bit more than you normally would on the Ravens, 'cause I'm that confident.

MINTY BETS: Wow, giving money management advice. All righty. Matt, what do you think about this one? [LAUGHS]

MATTY GENIUS: Well, there's two things to keep in mind when you're listening to Jared's take is, A, his brother is on the Ravens, and B, his brother's injured for this game. So it's two things we got to keep in mind about this.

But I do like the Ravens in this game, mainly because the Patriots only have the name going for them. And when I say that, I just mean, the only thing that they've really done this season that's worth talking about is the fact that they almost beat the Seahawks. And so in this game, I do think I'd lay the 7 with the Ravens. I'm not very confident about this one. Sunday Night Football tends to go for the underdog. So when Sunday comes, maybe it's a moneyline play, but right now, I'm saying Ravens minus 7.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, I just can't see not laying 7 points with the Ravens here. I mean, they are the better team. The Patriots should have lost to the Jets last week, and they're coming off a shorter week here. I say Ravens blow the Patriots out, so give me Ravens minus 7. Yike.

MATTY GENIUS: There is an interesting-- really, there is an interesting thing you could do with this game if you wanted to do, like, a three-team moneyline parlay and parlay a couple of favorites, where it's, like, Chiefs, Seahawks, and then end the day with the Ravens, because then if you do that, you can obviously hedge pretty easily with the Patriots moneyline. But just wanted to throw that out there.
