Mad Bets: Will the Rams cover -6 vs. Bears?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay & Matt Gothard give their picks for the upcoming Monday Night Football game between the Bears vs. Rams.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: Week 7 ends with Monday Night Football as the LA Rams host the Chicago Bears. The Rams are favorites of six points at home here, and the total is set at 45. Jared, let's go to you first. Who do you like for this game?

JARED QUAY: Oh, man. Last year I lost a lot of money picking the Bears to beat the Rams because of this really bad quarterback named Mitchell Trubisky. This year, Mitchell Trubisky's not in the equation because they got the comeback kid, the Tom Brady killer, Nick Foles.

Give me the Bears. Plus 6 points? I'll take that any day. I think there's also another X factor. Last year, the Rams had Todd Gurley. They don't have him this year.

If the Rams can't get the run going, I don't see this game being close at all. So you better hope that Henderson can pick up his Gurley legs and run the ball really well. Because I think Khalil Mack, I think Allen Robinson, I think Nick Foles and the Bears get revenge in 2020. Go ahead, Gothard, because I know you don't agree.

MATT GOTHARD: I just appreciate you for always making me look so good, and you're just teeing me up perfectly for this. If the fact that Mitchell Trubisky isn't the quarterback but Nick Foles is now makes you want to bet on the Bears, I would like to start booking your action, Jared. Because Nick Foles is not a good quarterback. Unless you're from Philly, you've already accepted that fact.

The Rams-- they looked bad last week, so everybody's kind of against them. Six points seems like a lot of points in this one, but I love the Rams in this position. The Bears? Though they have won a couple of games here early, they've been very close. I like the Rams to bounce back in a big way against an offense that cannot move the ball. Give me LA.

MINTY BETS: I actually like the under here as both these defenses are allowing an average of 19 points per game from their opponents. I mean, the Bears are winning close in very ugly games, and the Rams just got, well, kind of blown out against the Niners last week. So I do expect both defenses to step it up, and I expect a low scoring, slow primetime game here. Give me the under.

MATT GOTHARD: Poor Minty. She had no idea what she was signing up for when she realized she's on the show with me and Jared.

JARED QUAY: Yeah, this is the argument. You're-- you're-- you're literally a referee. You have to break us up.
