Mad Bets: Will the Panthers cover -3 vs. Falcons?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay & Matt Gothard give their picks for the Falcons-Panthers game on Thursday Night.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: For Thursday Night Football, we've got the Carolina Panthers hosting the Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers are a 3-point favorite, and the total is set at 48 and 1/2. Let's get our picks for this Thursday. Jared, let's start with you first.

JARED QUAY: I love taking a team after a close loss to win the next week because they're gonna be getting their mind right. I'm taking the Falcons as underdogs here. The Falcons offense is legit. Julio Jones is playing prime football. Their secondary is eh, but the thing that gets this for me is the Panthers O-line is beat up. And so with them being the favorite here on a Thursday night, give me the Falcons, baby.

MINTY BETS: Ugh, I don't like that pick. All right, Matt, you are undefeated. But you haven't won yet at Thursday Night Football. What's your pick?

MATT GOTHARD: I'm unwinnable. It's unwinnable. So I'm just gonna make sure I'm taking Jared down with me. I was gonna take the Panthers up until I heard his pick. I'm taking the Falcons plus 3.

Every week, I've taken the favorite. I don't care if it's the Jaguars. I don't care if it's the Jets. They suck, so I'm gonna go ahead, I'm taking the underdog. Taking the Falcons plus 3.

Jared, you're going down with me. You don't have to bet on this game, guys. You don't have to bet on this game.

JARED QUAY: You're gonna go up with me. We're gonna finally get you a win. It's hard to go 8 and 8. It is hard. We're gonna make sure you win one. Minty.

MINTY BETS: OK, my pick is gonna be the opposite of you guys, thankfully. I'm going with the Panthers minus 3. I like them at home here. The Falcons just can't seem to get it together. They're one of the worst passing defenses while the Panthers are one of the best. I like Teddy to hold it down in Carolina.
