MINTY BETS: It's week eight of college football, everyone. And we've got the Mountain West and the Big 10 starting up this week. It's going to be a busy Saturday. So we're going to do an early preview of our favorite bets on the board. Matt, let's start with you. What's your favorite bet?

MATT GOTHARD: Well so far this season, my favorite bet has been any Clemson first half. Obviously, this week, they're 45 point favorites against Syracuse. So we got to take our money somewhere else.

But thank you, Tigers, for coming through again last week. I love taking first half of good teams. Usually Alabama is another one I look at. So I'm looking at The Tide this week against Tennessee.

And the problem with the first half in this game, is that Tennessee might come out and be competitive in the first half. So I'm going to take Bama minus 19 and 1/2 for the full game. And here's why. Tennessee hasn't scored a point, a single point, in the second half in games that they've lost.

Spoiler alert, they're going to lose this game. So I'd like Alabama, who's averaging 22 and 1/2 points in the second half, to easily cover 19 and 1/2. Roll Tide.

MINTY BETS: Oh. All right, Jared, what is your bet? And are you as confident as Matt?

JARED QUAY: I'm not as confident as Matt. Matt is sipping on fire. College football still always finds a way to bite me in the ass. I like betting against bad teams.

Matt Gothard likes betting for good teams the first half. I like betting against bad teams, which is why I'm taking Memphis minus 13 against Temple. Temple seems to be a bad team this year.

They played two games. They started late because of COVID 19. They lost to Navy, and we all know how Navy is. And they let South Florida, who's a terrible team, put up 37 points on them. Meanwhile, Brady White and Memphis have a incredible offense.

I don't see Temple stopping them at all. I think this gets out of hand early. So I'm taking them minus 13.

MINTY BETS: All righty, not bad. And I like the Baylor Bears and the Texas Longhorns over 64 and 1/2. Texas is second in scoring offense and their defense is horrible. Allowing an average of 36.2 points per game.

I know all the trends to this particular match-up points to the under, but the Longhorns are 4-0 to the over as favorites. So give me the over.

MATT GOTHARD: Also going to throw out a Hawaii money line. Hawaii's back, baby. Hawaii's back.

JARED QUAY: Colt McDonald's gone and I can't bet without him. I need to that guy with dreadlocks.
