Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: It's week 10 of college football, everyone. And we're here to give you guys an early preview of our favorite bets on the board. I'm Minty Bets joined by, as always, Jared Quay. And special guest today, filling in for Matt Gothard, is Matt Josephs, AKA Mid Major Matt.

All right, now Jared let's start with you. What's your favorite bet this week?

JARED QUAY: You've got to go to 1 of teams and no one's really watching, not a prime-time game. I'm taking Georgia Southern as a home dog to beat Troy. I think I'm going to take them plus 3, but I do think they win here. Don't get me wrong, Troy's offense is great. They got a great quarterback in Jacob Free. But I think their defense is a little suspect.

Meanwhile, Georgia Southern does that triple option run really, really well. And I think that their only loss is to Louisiana Lafayette. And Coastal Carolina, who's been a monster of a team. Other than that, they've been a solid team with a good defense. So I like them as a home dog, I think they'll get this victory.

MINTY BETS: Wow, OK. And Matt, what is your favorite bet on the board?

MATT JOSEPHS: Well, by the way, [INAUDIBLE] to University, I like that that. They're fun to watch this year. I'm going with Marshall in the first half against UMass. UMass has this really weird schedule, where they're basically scheduling games just a couple of weeks out. So they've had a little bit of time to prepare for Marshall, but they've already played 1 game, losing 41-0 to that Georgia Southern team.

Marshall here, has been-- just their defense is amazing, they've allowed 0, 7, 14, 17, and 9. I can't see UMass scoring many points, if at all. I think Marshall wants to get out fast, wants to get this game over with. So I think in the first half you're looking at a thundering [INAUDIBLE] team. That could be up 28-0 by halftime, so I take Marshall in the first half.

MINTY BETS: I'm convinced! OK. Yeah, all right I'm taking it to the West Coast. I'm going to take Cal plus 2, over the Washington Huskies. Now Cal has like 8 returning starters, they're playing at home, they got an elite defense. As for the Huskies, they're under new head coach and no more Jacob Eason. So I think, honestly, Cal can win outright, but give me them catching points here, as I think it is a safer bet.

JARED QUAY: A Week 1 and Week 8 match-up. I love it, Minty.

MINTY BETS: You know it.
