Lightning Forks Through Oregon Sky Amid Severe Storms

Thunderstorms brought dark clouds and vivid lightning to parts of western Oregon on Thursday, May 18, footage shows.

Videos posted to Twitter Thursday night by @SwooshMcDuck shows lightning forking through the sky in Sunriver, southeast of Portland, they said.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for Deschutes County, as the National Weather Service warned of 50 mph winds and possible hail up to quarter-size.
