Are You Kitten Me? Meowing Cats Lead Farm Owner to Adorable Babies

A Michigan woman wondering why the feral cats she feeds every day kept “yelling” at her on May 3 had a lovely surprise when she walked inside the barn and found five frisky kittens.

The cute video was recorded by Julie Renee May at her property in Saginaw, and shows one furry messenger meowing at the door. As soon as May opens, two other cats come running and escort her to the barn, where a surprise in the form of five kittens awaits her.

“You’re vocal today!” May can be heard saying in the video. She told Storyful that the barn has been the home of feral cats for as long as she remembers, and that she always feeds them in the morning. But on this particular morning, she said, “They kept meowing at me more than usual.”

May said that she knew one of the cats was pregnant, but that she’d never seen the kittens after they were born. “It was cold and I didn’t know if they had survived or if she moved them,” she said. “When I opened the door I was very surprised to see the five kittens inside the barn.” Credit: Julie Renee May via Storyful
