John Leguizamo on his disagreement with Patrick Swayze on the set of 'To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar'

John Leguizamo, Wesley Snipes and Patrick Swayze teamed up for the 1995 movie "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar." The film turns 25 and Leguizamo talks to Yahoo Entertainment about the almost-fight that broke out between him and Swayze. I had something to prove and Patrick didn't, Leguizamo explains. "I was ad libbing and he said, 'Are you going to do that again?'” A few more words were exchanged and soon the actors were about to square off when they looked at each other and laughed. “We were in hotpants … it was ridiculous,” he says. “We stopped. We hugged and made up.” Leguizamo acknowledges the movie was “groundbreaking” and says his character “Chi-Chi Rodriguez” became a teen icon for the LGBTQ+ community. “We knew we were on a mission and we wanted to do it right.” Check out the video above for more with John Leguizamo.
