Hot Air Balloons Lift Off in Letchworth State Park For Memorial Day

Hot air balloons soared over Letchworth State Park, New York, early on Sunday, May 28, to celebrate Memorial Day.

This footage was recorded by Yvonne Smith, who said it was captured during the the park’s Red, White and Blue balloon festival on Sunday morning.

According to the local officials, the annual event is held throughout Memorial Day weekend and includes 20 hot air balloons that take flight over Letchworth gorge.

Balloons take off from the Archery Field Overlook on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings on Memorial day weekend, according to the festival’s Facebook page. Credit: Yvonne Smith via Storyful
