Heavy rains leave Cuban towns flooded

STORY: Helicopter shots aired by Cuban Government TV showed towns across Cuba completely flooded after heavy storms hit the central and eastern regions of the island.

The flooding of rivers collapsed bridges in rural areas, leaving several villages cut off, local media reported.

The most affected area is Jiguani town which remains without power, and several families have been evacuated after the river overflowed.

Weather authorities are forecasting heavy rains for the next two days.
