Fraudulent fees linked to COVID-19 tests

The I-Team investigated reports about fraudulent Medicare fees and found a trail of online complaints, disconnected phone numbers and nonexistent business addresses that led all the way to the U.S. Department of Justice. Roger Gossett said a COVID-19 scheme started with an anonymous caller asking if he wanted to be sent "free" tests in the mail. When the Anne Arundel County resident called Medicare to report that he had received 16 boxes of unsolicited tests over the past few months, he learned the government agency had paid more than $1,500 for them.
