Ford's minimum wage hike adds to business challenges

Ontario Premier Doug Ford recently announced that the province will increase its minimum wage to $15 an hour starting Jan. 1. The announcement marks a shift for the Ford government, which had cancelled a previously planned minimum wage hike introduced by Kathleen Wynne's Liberal government after the Progressive Conservatives were elected in 2018.

On this episode of Editor's Edition, Alicja Siekierska and the Public Policy Forum's Sean Speer dig into Ford's pivot on minimum wage, and what the change means for independent businesses that are still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
