SCOTT PIANOWSKI: Yahoo Fantasy Baseball is underway. You're in the swing of things. We're in mid-April. It is never too soon for improvements to that roster. I'm Scott Pianowski with Dalton Deldon. Dalton, my pitching staff needs help. What do you got for a pick up?

DALTON DELDON: Huascar Ynoa on Atlanta. He's been a popular pick up right now for good reason. He's looked great during two starts. 15 to 2 strikeout to walk ratio early on, averaging 96 miles per hour with his fastball. Just 22 years old. And if this improvement in command is real, there is some nice upside here.

And now he gets a shot to remain in the rotation with Mike Soroka going down with a shoulder injury. Even Max Fried has also been placed on the IL. Ynoa pitches in the NL, and Atlanta's offense is sure to wake up soon. Yeah, he remains available still in 2/3 of Yahoo leagues.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: I like being bankrolled to that Atlanta roster, and when it comes to offense I want to be tied to a good lineup. Let me give you an offensive player who fits the same profile, Adam Eaton in Chicago. I don't understand why he's only rostered in 33% of Yahoo leagues right now. He's got 10 runs scored, he's got 10 RBIs, three homers and a stolen base as we tape this.

And he was a top 30 outfielder back in 2019 with the Nationals. So you don't have to look that far back where this guy had relevance. Staying healthy is usually the bugaboo with Eaton. I think that's why he wasn't drafted that proactively. This guy's productive and his spot in the lineup is secure, especially with some injuries in that team. Adam Eaton should be 70%, 80% rostered right now.

It hasn't been adjusted yet. This is your last call if you want a productive outfielder in even the shallowest of formats. I think he's going to score a hundred runs this year.

DALTON DELDON: I was surprised that I saw Eaton's roster percentage so low myself. With you there on that one, Pianow. Give me Rich Hill. Another pitcher on the Rays. He's old and he's sure to spend some time on the IL this season eventually. But man, he's looked intriguing early on, ranking top 15 in CSW. I know his ERA may show 7, but his expected ERA is 2.81.

Playing in the AL East is hardly ideal, but the Rays are a smart organization. It's a nice pitcher's park. Hill is admittedly more of a deeper league fantasy option, but he's always a big help in WHIP, and he has a favorable upcoming schedule and he's still out there in more than 90% of Yahoo leagues.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: So there is Dalton giving you a 57-year-old left hander who-- estimated age, you'll have to check that-- but can maybe help you in some deeper leagues. I'll give you an offensive player for the deeper formats. Tommy La Stella came into the season dinged up. He wasn't playing a lot. Had three hits in Tuesday's game, parked at the top of a decent-- kind of a sneaky good San Francisco lineup.

That is no longer Death Valley for left handed hitters. We saw the ball really flying out of there at the beginning of that Cincinnati series. And La Stella is a hitter generally has more walks than strikeouts, decent line drive rate, and he qualifies at first, second, and third base in Yahoo fantasy. So not for the 8 teamers, not for the 10 teamers, but in 12 and up and 15 and up, Tommy La Stella can be that Swiss army knife at the end of your bench.
