Fantasy Baseball Pickups - A trio of hitters to boost your lineup!

Yahoo Fantasy analyst Dalton Del Don explains why fantasy managers should add Jose Siri, Jake McCarthy & Royce Lewis.

DALTON DEL DON: I'm Dalton Del Don with some fantasy pickup recommendations. The first is Tampa Bay outfielder Jose Siri, who simply should not be available in more than 80% of Yahoo leagues right now. Siri strikes out a lot and may not play every single day on Tampa Bay, but his speed-power combo is fantasy gold.

Siri has spent some time on the IL this season, but he has nine home runs and five stolen bases over just 31 games, basically just one month's worth of action. Siri has a 133 wRC+, plays terrific outfield defense, and sports a sprint speed in the 99th percentile. THE BAT X is projecting 30 combined homers and steals over just 350 at bats rest of season. Siri is widely available, but can be added even in shallow fantasy leagues.

Another outfielder who is an intriguing waiver wire add in fantasy leagues is Jake McCarthy on the Diamondbacks. McCarthy has been a bust who was dropped by many fantasy managers when he was sent to the minors earlier this season. But he's back up with Arizona after a strong performance in AAA. And he's swiped five bags over five games since returning.

McCarthy has 70-grade speed and combined for more than 30 homers and steals in fewer than 100 games for the Diamondbacks last season. He doesn't have impressive Statcast numbers. But especially if you need stolen bases, McCarthy is well worth adding in fantasy leagues now that he's back with Arizona. He remains available in 60% of Yahoo formats.

And finally, make sure Twins rookie Royce Lewis isn't somehow still out there on your league's waiver wire. The former number one overall pick recently returned to action and even homered one year to the day after he tore his ACL last season. Rookies are a crapshoot. But Lewis has a highly impressive minor league resume and legit power-speed potential. He needs to be added in any fantasy league in which he remains available.
