Family remembers Charles 'Chuck' Carlson, bicyclist hit and killed on Sac State campus

The family of 49-year-old Charles Anthony Carlson says he was known as "Chuck" to his loved ones and friends. The father of two young children was hit and killed Saturday on the Sacramento State campus while riding his bike. His family told KCRA 3 he also leaves behind his wife. Relatives say the Sacramento man was an engineer and an avid bicyclist. Although Carlson's family was not ready to speak on camera about his life and legacy, they did want the community to hear this message: "Watch out for bicyclists, slow down, stop at crosswalks, follow speed limits, and don't cross double lines on the road."
