Emilia-Romagna Town Still Inundated After Last Week's Deadly Flooding

Parts of the town of Conselice in Emilia-Romagna were evacuated on Friday, May 26, as stagnant water from deadly floods that ravaged the region last week had still not dissipated.

This footage by Vigili del Fuoco, Italy’s national fire and rescue service, shows emergency responders using an amphibious vehicle to move through the waterlogged streets to deliver aid and medicine to people still stuck in their homes.

The Mayor of Conselice, Paola Pula, issued an evacuation order for some parts of the town as the stagnant water was creating hygiene concerns, ANSA reported.
