Elway: Run Game Will Be Peyton's Best Friend

Broncos GM John Elway wants the running game to be Peyton Manning's "best friend" in 2015. "Number one, we're going to have good balance on the offensive side," Elway insisted Thursday. "What I can say, late in my career, that was my best friend, the running game. And I think that running game will be Peyton's best friend also." With Manning's arm dying a slow death, the Broncos are going to ramp up the model they used down the stretch last season under run-oriented coach Gary Kubiak. Manning is still going to sling it, but you can comfortably take the under on the 613 attempts he's averaged the past three seasons.
