Debating Russell Wilson vs Kyler Murray in fantasy

During the Yahoo Fantasy expert best ball draft, Andy Behrens and Scott PIanowski discuss draft value of the two NFC West quarterbacks.

Video Transcript

ANDY BEHRENS: I see someone in the chat asking about, or at least commenting, that Russell Wilson is a safe pick for quarterback, but Kyler Murray has the better ceiling. I took Kyler ahead of him in this mostly because I just want shares of Kyler Murray. I think he's gonna--

- Hell yeah.

ANDY BEHRENS: --be really fun, yeah. Man, especially with Nuk added to that offense. Again, no offseason, but we're talking about a pretty experienced pro who's about as good at catching objects as anyone alive.

I'm super excited for that offense and for what Kyler can do in it. Not just through the air, on the ground. It's gonna be a sensational season. Really easy, really clear path for him to have a top five quarterback finish.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: As correct as you are on all those things, if it means Wilson in some leagues goes a round or two later, I'm gonna take Wilson.

ANDY BEHRENS: Sure.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: Everything you said about Murray is on point. But Wilson, I love the fact that he's been a mobile quarterback his entire career, but he's never missed any games. I think maybe part of that is luck, but I think he knows when to sell out on the run, when to slide, when to run out of bounds. I think he's got really good [INAUDIBLE] when it comes to those things.

So I'm always a Russell Wilson guy. But everything you said about Murray, I can't deny it.
