Davis serial stabbing suspect to receive psychiatric assessment

A judge on Monday ordered a psychiatric assessment for the suspected killer in a series of stabbings in Davis. This came at the request of the defense attorney representing 21-year-old Carlos Dominguez during a preliminary hearing before Yolo County Superior Court Judge Samuel McAdam. “Your honor, it is my firm opinion that my client is not mentally competent,” Deputy Public Defender Daniel Hutchinson said. “I’m therefore requesting the court initiate competency proceedings.” More here: https://www.kcra.com/article/davis-serial-stabbing-suspect-ordered-to-have-psychiatric-assessment/43964677
