Cibolo Police and Firefighters Hold Moment of 'Radio Silence' to Mark Uvalde Shooting Anniversary

Emergency services in Cibolo, Texas, briefly paused radio communications on Wednesday, May 24, to pay respects to the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting on the first anniversary of the attack.

Nineteen children and two teachers were killed by an 18-year-old gunman on May 24, 2022.

Video streamed by the Cibolo Police Department shows firefighters, law enforcement officers, and emergency vehicles gathered in the department’s parking lot to remember the shooting victims.

“Please hold all radio traffic for a moment of silence in memory of the victims, survivors, families, loved ones, and the entire Uvalde community on the one-year anniversary of the shooting at Robb Elementary School,” a dispatcher said over the system before holding a 30-second period of silence.
