PAMELA MALDONADO: Well, welcome to the "Yahoo Sportsbook Daily." it is Tuesday, October 19. I am your betting guide, Pamela Maldonado, here to break down three college football game totals for week eight.

I'm looking to some Friday action, two games on deck that I like. Game number one, Colorado State at Utah State under 58. Both teams are averaging 25 points per game. On defense, Colorado State is limiting opponents to just 15 points per game, holding opponents to 24 points or less, including limiting Toledo to 6 points and New Mexico to 7.

The Rams are 16th in defending the past, fourth in defending the run, and yet just 70th in total offense, while the Aggies are top 20 in total offense but 80th in offensive touchdown scored. So they're getting downfield. They're putting up some passing yards. But they are not scoring points. Colorado state's defense plus Utah state's inefficiency in scoring touchdowns equals a low-scoring affair.

Friday, game number two, Washington and Arizona under 45. You have to pass-first teams, yet neither are particularly great at passing. Washington, 48th in passing yards per game, 67th in yards per pass. Arizona, 67th in passing yards per game, 116th in yards per pass. The strength of both defenses? Against the pass. Both top 20 in opponent passing yards per game. However, the Huskies way better at limiting to big passing plays, sixth in opponent yards per pass attempt. Arizona is 109th.

Look, the Wildcats, they're an absolute shambles. They're on the third string quarterback. 127th in points per game, 128th in points per play, scoring no more than 19 points in a single game this season, and shut out 34 to 0 last week at Colorado. As 17-point underdogs on your third string quarterback, that could very well happen again.

Game number three, Mississippi State at Vanderbilt under 51. Look, I know, taking totals, taking unders, it is scary. But sometimes, that is where the value lies because people like to bet overs, which means there's value on under.

The Commodores, they have been shut out twice this season, lost to an FCS squad, and in the other games played, is averaging just 24 points per game. The Bulldogs are coming off an absolute beating, losing 49 to 9 to Alabama. Now you have to travel on the road and cover as 22-point favorites?

Either Mike Leach gets his team fired up and Vanderbilt gets shut out again, or Mississippi State finds themselves in a letdown spot, coming into this with some bruised egos after the last week. Either way, this number is staying under 51.

If you're looking for a survivor pick, we are 6 and 0 so far. We won with the Rams last week. For week seven, we are rolling with Arizona Cardinals, fading Houston again. It's the biggest lineup on the board at 17 points. If you didn't get the Rams last week, then you have a good option against Detroit this week, the second biggest line at 15 and 1/2. Can you believe we're seeing such spreads in the NFL? Yet here we are. We're rolling with the Arizona Cardinals for our survivor pick this week.

Washington at Arizona under 45. Mississippi State at Vanderbilt under 51. Colorado State at Utah State under 58. And Arizona Cardinals or the Rams for survivor. One little tidbit to note, if you do like unders in games like I do, you could also wait for these games later in the week, as more people like to bet overs. Potentially you can see it better number.
