Best Cavern Dive in Florida? Buford Springs, Florida

Located inside Chaz Wildlife Management Area just north of Weeki Wachee Florida is one of if not the best Cavern dive in the state. Huge Cavern with Crystal Clear Viz most of the year with a max depth around 167 feet. We used to dive Buford climbing through the swamp in knee deep mud to reach it. Nowadays after reaching the parking area it's about a 1/2 mile walk on marked trail until you reach the new boardwalk that is about a football field walk to reach the spring. Better to reach this site in gear during the cooler (less bugs) and non rainy season because the surrounding swamp occasionally floods.
