COREY PETERS: I'm Corey Peters of the Arizona Cardinals here to help you get registered to vote in Arizona.

I'm so hyped to do my vote this year. If you want to vote in the general election on November 3, the deadline to register is October 5. And the last day to request your vote by mail ballot is October 23. So let's get to it.

First, head Arizona's voting website as www.arizona.vote. If you're registering for the first time, click the red button on the right that says Register To Vote. This takes you to the web-based registration form.

If you'd rather print it and send it back by mail, you can do that from the home page by clicking the Voter Registration Form link. To complete your registration to vote, you'll need to bring one of these forms of identification. Don't forget to check you meet all the requirements for voting.

If you want to vote by mail this year, you can do it. Simply click "Yes, I want to automatically receive an early ballot for each election for which I'm eligible." on your new voter registration application. If you're already registered, Arizona should automatically mail you an absentee voter application. But don't wait around. Go to the voting home page and click Join The Permanent Early Voting List. It gives you all the info you need to vote by mail in all elections. Or choose to mail your ballot in for just this one election.

The deadline to apply for your absentee ballot is October 23, but do not wait that long. Counties will start mailing in ballots out on October 7. So apply right now.

If you choose to send your ballot in via the mail, complete it and put it in your mailbox immediately. If you're an absentee voter and you don't want to risk potential postal service delays, you have a bunch of options. Hit up your local county to get all the details on early in-person voting from October 7 to October 30; or in-person ballot drop-off, election day drop-off, and secure drop-off locations, which are serviced by election officials.

However you decide to return your absentee ballot, make sure you sign it and that the county receives it by 7:00 PM on election day. If you vote in person this year, make sure you bring one of these accepted forms of photo ID because they're required to cast your vote in. Now, you don't have to wait to election day to head to the polls. All eligible voters can cast a ballot at your vote center from October 7 to October 30.

In Arizona, polls close by 7:00 PM. So if you're waiting in line when the polls close, you're still allowed to vote. So do not get out of line.

To check the status of your registration and all things related to your vote, go back to the arizona.vote home page. And click the button, Your Voter Info, and enter the voting portal. Voting is an opportunity for us to have our voices heard. And if we don't vote, we don't have a right to complain.
