Arizona Police Redirect Bear From Busy Flagstaff Freeway

Officials in Flagstaff, Arizona, helped redirect a bear from walking onto a busy freeway in the early hours of Friday, May 26, video posted to Facebook shows.

Footage posted by the Flagstaff Police Department shows the bear, who had walked onto the median, looking at cars zoom past just after 5 am Friday morning.

Officers monitored the bear and attempted traffic-control measures while waiting for wildlife officials to arrive at the scene. Officials with Coconino County Animal Control and the Arizona Department of Fish and Wildlife eventually wrangled the bear and released it back to a safer location, according to the post.
