AOC claims Trump is 'not in a good condition' and shouldn’t be making major decisions

As President Trump continues to fight COVID-19, New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez questioned his ability to make important decisions while in his condition. One of the medications the president is reportedly on has been known to cause grandiose delusions. Trump’s decision earlier in the day to stop any COVID-19 relief bill until after the election garnered immediate condemnation from AOC, who said the country is on the verge of a mass eviction crisis and a hunger crisis, and that Trump, along with the Republican party, have turned their backs on the American people. As for the rise in COVID-19 cases sweeping the White House and Trump’s inner circle, AOC said they’ve been “drinking their own Kool-Aid” and ignoring science.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: There's a certain just basic denial of science and a lack of acceptance of science that we're looking at. But you know, additionally, the president is not in a good condition.

- New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show Tuesday night where she questioned President Trump's decision making abilities while he's on multiple medications for COVID 19. One of which has been known to cause delusions. Earlier in the day, Trump had put a stop to any COVID relief package until after the election.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: I don't think that we should be making any large political decisions when the president is such-- is in such a perilous-- in such a perilous medical state. He is still receiving interventions and treatments and we're-- and we're in the middle of talking about and making dramatic decisions.

- Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden condemned Trump's actions. And AOC called out the Republican party for abandoning millions of American citizens.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: The president and the GOP follow through with walking away from COVID relief, we are looking at one-- we are staring down the barrel at one of the largest mass eviction crises in the history of this country since the Great Depression. That's what we're looking at.

- AOC also addressed the rising number of White House staff and Trump's inner circle who have now tested positive for COVID 19.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: On one hand, you know, I think that they're just kind of drinking their own Kool-Aid. They really started to believe that masks didn't matter. That rapid tests, which we had known were less effective, were acceptable before a mass super spreading event.
