Aerial Footage Shows Large Fire Engulfing Manila Central Post Office

Firefighters battled a huge blaze that erupted at the Manila Post Office building in the Philippines on Monday, May 22.

According to local reports citing authorities the fire was sparked late on Sunday night, initially reported as a first alarm blaze which quickly grew to a five alarm fire at around 4.30 Monday morning.

This aerial footage, uploaded by the Manila Public Information Office, shows smoke pouring out of the building, as flames engulf the post office.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.

There were no reports of severe injuries or fatalities.
