550 evacuated in Spanish wildfire, suspected arson

STORY: The fire is out of control and weather conditions are making the firefighters' work particularly hard, the commander of the Military Emergency Unit David Barona told Spanish cable news channel 24H.

About 200 and 250 firefighters are on the ground fighting the blaze in the area called Pinofranqueado, in the Caceres province, near the border with Portugal.

Authorities have ordered the evacuation of as many as 550 people in the villages of Cadalso, Descargamaria and Robledillo de Gata.
